  • 250 gr rice flour
  • 850ml coconut milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Seasoning
  • Some oil
  • Topping
  • 50 gr dried shrimp,
  • 8 pcs shallots, slice
  • 5 pcs celery, cut
  • 3 pcs red chilies, cut

    Slice the shallots ,cut the celery and then cut the chilies on the cutting board.

    Heat the amount of vegetable oil on a fraying pan, fry until it sets.

    When the topping ingredients are ready, mix it one by one in a bowl starts from the chilies, then dried shrimp , celery, and last the fried shallots.

    Measure 350 ml coconut milk (out of 850 ml) on a measuring glass then boil it.Do not forget to stir the coconut milk as you boil it , so it will not ruined.

    In a different bowl mix the rice starch and salt. Add the heated coconut milk(350ml) and the rest of the coconut milk (500ml) little by little and stir it with balloon whisk slowly until it is perfectly mixed.

    Pour the dough in a baking pan which is already spread with some oil. Steam it in a steamer about 15 minutes in medium heat.

    Pour the half of the topping on the top of the dough, then steam again for another 15 minutes until it sets.

Jambi is a city in Indonesia. Capital of Jambi province, on the island of Sumatra. The city is a busy port on the Batang Hari River and an oil- and rubber-producing centre. The city is located 26 km from the ruins of Muaro Jambi, an important city in the ancient Srivijaya kingdom.

The total land area of Jambi city is 205.38 km2 (79 sq mi). Jambi City is located at the south-western portion of the Sumatran Basin, a low-lying area in Eastern Sumatra with an altitude of 0 to 60m above sea level. A segment of the Batanghari River, the longest river in Sumatra at 1,700 km (1,056 mi), flows through Jambi City.

Jambi City has a tropical climate with a minimum temperature of 22 to 23 °C (72 to 73 °F) and a maximum termperature of 30 to 32 °C (86 to 90 °F). The level of humidity ranges from 82 to 28%. Annual rainfall of Jambi City is 2,296.1 mm (90.4 in), with the rainy season lasting from October to March with 20 rainy days a month. The dry season lasts from April to September with an average of 16 rainy days a month.

  1. 1. Bring the water and rice to a boil in a pot. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer 45 minutes.
  2. 2. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in the onion and garlic, and cook 1 minute. Mix in cod, and season with curry powder, chili powder, turmeric, cumin, salt, and pepper. Pour in the coconut milk, and mix in frozen vegetables. Cover, and cook 10 minutes, or until vegetables are tender and cod is easily flaked with a fork.
  3. 3. Drain 1/2 cup liquid from the skillet into a bowl, and mix with cornstarch. Stir back into skillet to thicken sauce. Serve over the cooked rice
