TEMPOYAK (fremented durian)


    

Durian generally be delicious dessert fruit. Moreover, durian usually  the fruit to make some cake or ice cream. But, who guessed that in Jambi, durians are processed to be the main food which eaten with white rice.

Yup, it traditional foor from Jambi named Tempoyak. It usually eaten with fresh fish from Batanghari River. But, it still delicious without fish.

This food taste is so delicious and durian smell is so good.

INGRIDIENTS

  • 1 cup durian flesh, mashed, without seeds
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • a bowl
Sauce ingredients that should be mashed:

  • 6 red onions
  • 3 garlics
  • 5 pieces of red chili
  • 4 cayenne peppers
  • 1½ teaspoons of sugar


STEPS

  1. Take the pulp from the fruit, than give salt to taste.
  2. Put it in the topless save it for about a week.
  3. After a week you may add the Ingredients sauce with tempoyak mix it all then sauté all of the in frying pan using cooking oil.
